Toning your legs.

If you want to tone your thighs and buttocks you will need to do squats, lunges, and calf raises.
Try doing sets of 15 reps each until you achieve 3 sets. To increase the resistance try holding weights while doing these exercises.

One of my favorite exercises is lunges. Done correctly Lunges are perfect for tightening your quads and calves.

How to do lunges.

You can do this with or without weights. With weights, you will want to hold the weights steady with your arms hanging down on your sides the entire time. Without weights you will place your hands on your hips. I find the best way to do lunges is in a hallway or in a large room, maybe your garage. Be sure that you have an open space clear of anything that may get in the way.
Start by placing your right foot in front of your left foot about 1 to 3 feet in front depending on your size. Make sure that you keep your legs shoulder width apart. With your right foot in front, squat down as low as you can. You will need to make sure that your right leg and your left leg are both at a 90 degree angle. Bring yourself back up by putting your weight your right leg and bring your left leg next to your right and stand up straight.
