Make your exercise fun!

Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best when he said “It is better to star slowly than to quit quickly”. This is so true when it comes to exercise. If you burn yourself out the first time you workout you won’t want to do it again!

Take your time getting started. If you start slow and pace yourself you’ll be more likely to work out again. Don’t burn yourself out the first day that you workout. You may not come back. Start out with 10-15 minutes of exercise then work your way up. Over time you will be able to work out for 45 minutes without thinking about it.

I use to hate working out. It depressed me. Working out seemed like such a chore. Not only that but it was a constant reminder of how far I had to go to lose the weight. What if there was a world where you enjoy working out and can’t wait to work out. Would be nice right? Guess what, it’s all in your head. Do whatever you can to make your workout fun. For example dancing is a great way to work out without even realizing that you’re working out! You’re just having fun. Here’s another tip, if you work out for a 15 minutes, then a few hours later work out for 15 minutes again. You still put in 30 minutes of working out. You can tell everyone that you worked out for 30 minutes because you did.

The more you exercise the more you will build muscle and more muscles burn more calories at rest.

Drink water and lose weight!

Most people do not drink enough water through the course of the day. I know several people who have told me that they never drink water and that all they drink is soda. These people are always overweight. Drinking lots of water throughout the day flushes the toxins out of your system and tells your body to start getting rid of stored water that your body has been hanging on to. If you want to lose weight and speed up your metabolism you need to start drinking more water! You should be drinking at least 90 ounces of water a day. This equates to about 8 ounces (1 cup) per hour. Believe it or not, drinking lots of water is more effective than taking diet pills! It’s no wonder that most people don’t know this because you can’t sell water for 30 dollars a bottle.

When you first start a water regiment, the first couple of days you may gain a pound or two from water weight but eventually the weight will start melting off. Not only that, but you will get the benefit of healthier looking skin in the process.
